We are a small, family run sawmill based in Monmouthshire. We supply naturally durable shingles, cladding and dimensional timber for construction and joinery, as well as landscaping timbers like sleepers, decking and fencing.
We stock the more common sizes or can cut to order if you need specific dimensions. You can also bring us your logs for us to cut for you, and we also stock specialist timbers like yew, walnut, ash, beech & cherry.
All the timber we cut is from local woodlands with which we have a working relationship, many of which I help to manage.
My background is forestry and I’m passionate about managing woodlands properly for the benefits they can bring us and the wider ecosystem. Wood is the best resource we have, but unfortunately more than half of our woodlands remain unmanaged, in part due to a shortage of small sawmills. These mills play a crucial role in maintaining small woodlands, supporting the planting and thinning efforts that enhance biodiversity and the overall woodland ecosystem. Supporting small sawmills is also a significant step towards reducing the huge impact and pollution caused by importing timber.
